Bio

Julia Villanueva O’Driscoll obtained her master as a clinical psychologist at the Vrij Universiteit Brussel (2008) with a dissertation on domestic violence in Aymara families with young children. She fulfilled her internship in ‘Proyecto de vida’, a nongovernmental organization offering support to youngsters who are part of street gangs in El Alto, Bolivia (2007-2008). In 2013 Julia concluded her PhD research on the reinsertion of children disengaged from armed groups in Colombia. Currently her research in focussed on psychosocial care towards children with migrant and refugee backgrounds and their families.
